Training and Development

As the Training and Development manager should be able to develop of every employee in many knowledge discipline on the plant in order more smart and can work in a proper way. The end of education is able to change their behavior so all the rule and guidline on the plant can be followed and improved as needed to follow the ISO principle.

Training and Development Manager can't give all of them enough education to work on their work place. To fullfil this needed every Plant Manager should be develop training program to educate their subordinate and more understand the problem on their job. So this is become the vision of Training Department, the successful of Department if all of the plant and employee realize that training is important and should be developed and trained by themself to educate their subordinate..

To realize that vision, Training Department should create a program and strategy in order every Department want develop their training for their subordinate. Many kind of tools they can use to develop this strategy for example by using of Score Card and using Internet as inform all of their strategy and the fulfillness of every Department. This strategy need full support by Management.

Behavior Based Safety

Training bahavior based safety is just to remind about the importance of safety in your work place. Eventhough already provide by many procedure to work, but not all worker want to obey the rule that make them safe. This sometime due to they don't care or don't understand the dangerouse if something happen to him.

Safety is not just responsible safety person but this is everybody responsibility. Potential dangerous of certain job should be understand by job handling so they should provide of every safety equipment required on their job.

Behavior safety is not just understand of safety equipment they should provide but also they should follow the guidline on how to handle of certain job with wear of safety equipment needed. If every job follow the guidline and safety rule they will customs with that job and will no violation to the safety rule.

My Outbond

Outbond training is a kind of training make us relax than a serious training itself. Outbond training is done in a group with generally purposed can build the team more solid. The content of outbond training may vary depend on the training provider experiences. Make some competition on each group and make the activity more closed each others. The example of the training activity can work as purposed, make test at the beginning and also make a test at the end of outbond training. At the beginning of training the group is not known well each others and still doubt to make a team work activity, after train for several days they are not fell doubt again and more optimist to make a decision and team work activity. Transportation of Hazardous Goods Training

The regulation of every country may different of this transportation especially on the transportation standard of hazardous goods, so the best training about this transportation system better perform in the local country where the transport system will apply. The Transportation of Hazardous goods regulations require that, with few exceptions, every person engaged in the handling, offering for transport or transporting of hazardous goods including hazardous waste be trained in the area of handling such thing. This transportation course helps the student to understand the basics of the legislation, history, the act and the regulations, and defined legislated responsibilities.

Training Need Assessment

On the training development, training need assessment have functioned a critical activity. On the practical of human resources or training specialist, adept to perform training need assessment should be done. How to conduct this need assessment process, follow by an in-depth look at the core concepts and steps involved in conducting a training needs assessment.

Training Need Assessment:
There are three levels of need assessment: organizational analysis, task analysis and individual analysis. Organizational analysis should identify:

  • Environmental impacts 
  • State of economy and the impact on operating costs
  • Changing work force demographics and the need to address cultural or language barriers.
  • Changing technology and automation
  • Increasing global/world market places
  • Political trends such as sexual harassment and workplace violence.
  • Organizational goals (how effective is the organization in meeting its goals), resources available (money, facilities, materials on hand and current, available expertise within the organization).
  • Climate and support for training (top management support, employee willingness to participate, responsibility for outcomes)
There are a variety of sources for collecting data for a task analysis:
  • Job description - A narrative statement of the major activity involved in performing the job and the conditions under which these activities are performed. 
  • KSA analysis - A more detailed list of specified tasks for each job including knowledge, skills, attitutes and abilities required of incumbents.
  • Performace standards. This is needed to identify performance discrepancies.
  • Observe the job/sample the work
  • Perform the job
  • Job inventory questionaire
  • Review literature about the job
  • Ask questions about the job
  • Analysis of operating problems

Training is always interelated to Personnel Department that provide a salary system and career planning.Training Department will provide many data of employee activity, their training have followed and from the Department where the employee work will get employee performance report.
